Un ou deux profils sur la mer, moins beaux assurément que ceux des femmes de Véronèse que j’aurais dû, si j’avais obéi à des raisons purement esthétiques, lui préférer. Or, pouvais-je en d’autres raisons, puisque, l’anxiété tombée, je ne pouvais retrouver que ces profils muets, je ne possédais rien d’autre ?
