筆者個人認為，在學校或機關當中，製作或編輯文書所需要的軟體功能並不多，無論是以前使用微軟office系統，還是現在使用Libreoffice與Openoffice，對大多數的老師及公務員，應該是足夠的。

所以，到電腦軟體應用的層面，我想應該也是如此。重要的是我們用軟體產生的內容，將對他人或自己有何益處。

對他人有益處，比較容易理解；不過，應用軟體產生的內容，應該是作者的已知知識，難道還可以對自己有益處嗎？我個人認為，這問題的答案是肯定的。

It is good for others and easier to understand; however, the content generated by application software should be the author's known knowledge, can it still be good for oneself? I personally think that the answer to this question is yes.

因為知識在重新整理、敘述的過程中，對作者來說，也是一種消化、深化或活化知識的過程。

Because the process of reorganizing and narrating knowledge is also a process of digesting, deepening or activating knowledge for the author.

俗語說「教學相長」，大概包括這個道理。朱熹所謂「舊學商量加邃密，新知培養轉深沉」大概也有這個意思。
