《路透社》消息指出，亞馬遜(AMZN-US) 於週四(28日)表示，將收購社交閱讀網站Goodreads。此筆交易將使亞馬遜獲得Goodreads全球1600萬讀者，使亞馬遜的電子書服務更上一層樓。
亞馬遜 Kindle事業部副總Russ Grandinetti表示，「Goodreads改變人們搜尋圖書和分享書評的方式，而亞馬遜開發的Kindle電子書閱讀器，更加快了全世界圖書的交流。」
Goodreads總部位於美國舊金山，創立於2007年，可讓全球讀者更為快速地分享書評，相互推薦圖書。Goodreads的創辦人Otis Chandler，其家族事業曾經出版過《洛杉磯時報》(Los Angeles Times)，Goodreads為電子圖書界領導品牌之一，目前擁有1600萬名會員，瀏覽人次已高達2300萬，並在全球擁有超過3萬個讀書俱樂部。

從最近看到 Goodreads 推動的年度閱讀計劃 “2013, the Year of Reading Proust”，我才意識到國外的社群網站有多麼強大的號召力及執行力。
在討論區 (Discussion Board) 裡有近百種討論主題，以及數千筆貼文、回應、評論、摘要…

我們還可以發現在伊利諾州的埃文斯頓公共圖書館 (Evanston Public Library)，也正進行著在一年內讀完《追憶似水年華》的前兩冊 Swann’s Way 及 Within a Budding Grove 的閱讀計畫，從而架設了一個名為 ”Mission Impossible: Proust” 的部落格。

更讓人振奮的是，SparkNotes、BookDrum 這些網站提供了章節分段的摘要及解析，甚至穿插與小說內容相關的精采圖片或影片，我想此刻閱讀《追憶似水年華》的妳(你)不再是踽踽獨行的苦行僧，妳(你)將發現身邊有著一群擁有相同目標並向前邁進的文學愛好者。

GoodReads “2013, the Year of Reading Proust”
Our Mission Impossible: Proust group is in good company: 2013 is “The Year of Reading Proust” for the social reading website GoodReads. What great timing for us! This is an open group, so anyone can participate, even if you are not a GoodReads member! (Membership is free, and allows you to add your own comments and reviews.) They are a bit ahead of us on Swann’s Way, but you can look at some of their past discussion topics and postings to get some hints and suggestions. There are threads devoted to specific characters, to musical, literary and mythological references, and “Prousts’ World, a thread for discussing history, society, photographs and paintings of the period, (some marvelous old photographs on this one!)
