Some elaboration: I kinda sorta wrote this song with the idea in mind that this "Gloomy Town" was the reason the Sunny Town of "Story of the Blanks" existed in the first. After seeing the disaster that befell Gloomy Town, some ponies obtained a fear of "the Mark" thus leading to the disaster that was Sunny Town.
