* hum 是(蜜蜂等)發嗡嗡聲, 可以延伸為忙碌, 活躍的動詞. (這個字我很喜歡, 很久一段時間, 今天才又看到它) 1-1. The office is humming with activity. 辦公室裡一片忙碌. 1-2. The production lines will keep humming. 生產線會持續地忙碌. 2. The company may be the hidden gem of biotech stocks. It expects a stellar second half that will set the stage for a multiyear growth runway. 這間公司在生技股裡面是一個漏網/隱藏之珠. 它預期一個亮麗的第二季可以為(日後)一個多年成長的跑道作準備. * hidden gem隱藏的珠寶, 看不見的美好事物, 不為人知的瑰寶. The solar sector has been shinning, and it is the best-performing group by a mile in 2022. 太陽能類股一直閃閃發亮, 在2022年裡, 是一個很明顯表現最好的族群. * by a mile 大相徑庭, 風馬牛不相及, 差得太遠, 輸得很慘. (這個片語是說差距很大, 很明顯.) 3-1.
