| Advantage是指某個優勢, 優點會讓人有機會勝利, 比別人強, 或者有利益, 好處. 也可以當動詞.
Vantage 是從advantage變化而來, 特別指處於什麼樣的有利的"位置, 地位", 能夠看清楚景觀或事情. 不像advantage是說(已然成形, 明顯的)優勢, 優點. * The roof of the house offers an excellent vantage from which to drop water balloons on your brother’s head. 房子的屋頂上提供一個絕佳的有利地點, 由此可以丟下裝水的氣球到你的兄弟頭上. 本篇最主要是來講這個組合名詞, vantage point. Vantage後面常常再加上point, 它有兩種意思, 特別是下面的第二點常會出現在商業上. 1. 有利觀賞, 視察的位置. * From our lofty vantage point, we can see the city spread out below us. 從這裡居高臨下, 我們可以俯瞰腳下城市的全貌. * The office built a lookout platform at one end of the road to allow people to see the fields from a high vantage point. 在道路的一端盡頭, 辦公室蓋了一個瞭望平台, 以便讓民眾可以從高處的觀賞點來觀看這片田野. 2.
