親近書法藝術 (Get close to the art of calligraphy)

書法是中華文化的瑰寶，
Calligraphy is a treasure of Chinese culture,

我很敬佩能夠將書法寫得很好的人。
I admire people who can write calligraphy very well.

在就讀國民小學時，曾有一位班導師，細心教過我們書法，
When I was a elementary school student, there was a class instructor who carefully taught us calligraphy,

但我當時對書法並無興趣，國小畢業後沒有繼續學習。
but I didnt have much interest in calligraphy at the time, and did not continue to study after graduating from elementary school.

十九歲那年離開家鄉，獨自到外縣市讀書及生活。
When nineteen, I left my hometown and went to other counties to study and life.

因為經常地一邊求學一邊工作，故無暇發展其他興趣，像是書法；
Because I often work while studying, I have no time to develop other interests, such as calligraphy;

然而我大學的師長、同學有些是能書善畫者，
However, some of my university’s teachers and classmates are good at calligraphy and painting.

到了職場上，也遇到酷愛書法的前輩或長者，
In the workplace, I also meet seniors or elders who love calligraphy,

再加上今年二月以來受到疫情影響，大家都儘量減少出門的頻率，
Coupled with the impact of the epidemic since February this year, everyone has tried to minimize the frequency of going out.

我也不例外地減少出門的頻率，同時思考在室內時也該做些有益的事情。
I am no exception to reduce the frequency of going out, and at the same time think about doing something useful while indoors.

一方面紓解工作及生活的種種壓力，一方面這也是學習成長。

其中一項開始發展的興趣，就是書法練習。

我自己設定前提是不要花費太多的金錢，並以比較輕鬆的心情開始進行，

就這樣，我開始學習書法。
In this way, I started to learn calligraphy.

到文具行購買平價毛筆(每支約花費新台幣40元)、墨汁、水寫簿、毛邊紙(書法練習用紙)，
Go to the stationery shop to buy cheap brushes (about NT$40 each), ink, water writing notebooks, and rough-edged paper (毛邊紙，paper for calligraphy practice).

從唐朝書法家顏真卿、柳公權開始學習，
Start learning from Tang Dynasty(唐朝) calligraphers Yan Zhenqing(顏真卿) and Liu Gongquan(柳公權),

以有興趣的文章為練習材料，練習書法迄今。
using articles which interesting as practice materials, practice calligraphy so far.
