person, and penetrate his/her disguise.

1．不吸煙不飲酒的人，都很自私。一般不可托終生。
An abstainer and non-smoker is most likely a selfish guy, and usually not

trustworthy.

2．對你吹拍之人，最可能背叛你。傷你最深的人，一定是你最愛的人。百分之七十的
兇殺案發生于熟人之間。生虎猶可近，熟人不可親。
The more a person curries favor with you, the more likely he/she will
betray you; whereas the one who cuts you deep most, must be the one you

love most. About 70% of the murders are taking place among acquaintances,
so you had better approach a tiger than pour excessive familiarity to the
person you know.

3．膽小的男孩一般能成大事。打仗前思後想的，才是帥才。流淚的男人一定有愛心。

舉棋不定是一種美德。
Generally speaking, the timid boy can someday achieve great feats, the
soldier with discretion in action possesses real talent of military
leadership. Only a man with loving care can be reduced to tears, and being

unable to make one’s mind easily may be a virtuous personality trait.

4． 愛罵人的人，內心都很恐懼。長角的動物都不是食肉動物。 一群人中最安靜的人
往往最有實力。 動如火掠，不動如山。
People who always point a finger at others must be frightened
inside; the animals of horns are always non-carnivores. The quietest person among a gaggle of noisy people is probably the most capable one, as still waters run deep.
Move like fliting flame when taking offensive; stay like a mountain when on
the defensive.

5．背叛你的女孩，再侮辱你，一生命薄。惡有惡報。早年的班花、校花，有幾個會有

晚年的幸福？ 猛虎別在當道臥，困龍也有上天時。
The woman cheats on you first, then insults on you later must augur badly because of her vice; the chickens come home to roost. Those pretty
women of easy virtue seldom enjoy happiness in their later days, have you

seen any exceptions? (譯註: 魯迅說得好, 可憐之人必有可恨之處.) Even the
fiercest tiger had better not block the main path; the trapped dragon still
has chance flying to the sky again.

6.．重情之人，難有愛情之幸福。當你說愛字，你就處於被動。愛情的真諦是”欲擒故

縱”，鮮花大都插在牛糞上。駿馬常馱癡漢走，巧女常伴愚夫眠。
The joys of love scarcely ever befall a person full of affection, for when
you express your devotion to someone, you play yourself a passive role
then. The best tactics may be “feigning indiffernce towards your prey

before grabbing it”. Ironically, most roses appear at unsuitable places,

often a steed carries a rousy rider, and sometimes lying beside an
intelligent wife is an idoitic husband!

Don’t be afraid of being exploited by others, that means you are
still “usable”.

Three aspects of life are hard to face with: people to face,

The top-notch persons have capabilities but without bad tempers,

middle-class ones have both, and the low-end ones, having bad tempers but
without capabilities.
