臘月風和意已春，December zephyr foretold the spring is coming.
時因散策過吾鄰。By cane I strolled past the neighbors.
草煙漠漠柴門裡，Cooking smoke wafted behind the firewood door
牛跡重重野水濱。Hoove prints overlapped in the field waterfront.
多病所須唯藥物，Now I need medicine for my sickness.
差科未動是閒人。I am idle because of no summons.
今朝佛粥更相饋，A neighbor offered me a December congee.
更覺江村節物新 。The new year is nearing the village.
PS. Time flies. The lunar December eighth, or the congee day, passed a few days ago. Not until this morning did I remember the festival and the related poem by Mr. Lu You.
