生命的三種狀態

Theree different levels of lives.

初級的快樂是肉體的快樂，那是飽、暖、物、欲。

The primary level of happiness is pertaining to carnal pleasure, i.e. satiety, warmth, aubstance, and desire. 

中級的快樂是精神的快樂，那是詩詞歌賦、琴棋書畫、遊走天下。

The middle level of happiness is pertaining to spiritual satisfaction, i.e. appreciating poetry, verses, music, and essay; and enjoying in instruments, chess, books and paintings; touring around the world. 

高級的快樂是靈魂的快樂，那是付出、奉獻，讓他人因為你的存在而快樂！

The superb happiness is pertaining to the joy of one's soul, i.e. devotion and contribution, making others feel happy because of your being!

平庸的人只有一條命，叫性命；

Mediocrities have only a life, a physical life. 

優秀的人有兩條命，即性命和生命；

The outstanding persons have two lives, a physical one and spiritual one.

卓越的人則有三條命，性命、生命和使命。它們分別代表著生存、生活和責任！

The pre-eminence have three lives: physical, spiritual, and a life of mission, separately representing mere existence, true life, and genuine responsibility.

人與人的差距，表面上看是財富的差距，實際上是福報的差距；

It is real blessing received, not superficial fortune amassed that makes the distinction between a person and others.

表面上看是人脈的差距，實際上是人品的差距；

The distinction lies not on one's sociability superficially, but actually on one's moral quality.

表面上看是氣質的差距，實際上是涵養的差距；

The distinction lies not on one's disposition superficially, but actually on one's virtue of patience.

表面上看是容貌的差距，實際上是心地的差距；

The distinction lies not on one's appearance superficially, but actually on one's conscience. 

表面上看是人與人都差不多，內心境界卻大不相同，心態決定命運。

Superficially, people look almost alike to each other, but the inner world of each one varies quite differently.  Therefore, one's fate hinges upon one's mindset. 

男人只有窮一次，才知道哪個女人最愛你。

Only when a man becomes poor once, is he able to know which woman loves him most.

女人只有醜一次，才知道哪個男人不會離開你。

Only when a woman becomes ugly once, is she able to know which man leaves her never. 

人只有落魄一次，才知道誰最真誰最在乎你。

Only when you are down and out once, are you able to know who cares about you sincerely.

陪伴，不是你有錢我才追隨。

I am your loyal company not because you are rich.

珍惜，不是你漂亮我才關注。

I am cherishing you not because you are pretty.

時間留下的，不是財富，不是美麗，是真誠。

It's only sincerity, not wealth or beauty, survives the time elapsed.
