清夜無塵。月色如銀。 Void of dust is the quiet night.  The silver moonbeam is bright.

酒斟時、須滿十分。 Fill the wine into my cup, till it brims up. 

浮名浮利，虛苦勞神。 Floating fame and fleeting wealth in vain, brings only futile toil and trouble with pain.    

歎隙中駒，石中火，夢中身。 O, time flies like steed galloping, flint sparking, or reverie in dreaming.

雖抱文章，開口誰親。 I am a man of letters, but toward me who would show their appreciations. 

且陶陶、樂盡天真。 So why not enjoy myself in reality, back to purity and simplicity.

幾時歸去，作個閒人。

When can I resign myself to my destiny, and be a carefree man only.

對一張琴，with my zither,

一壺酒， my liqueur, 

一溪雲。 and a piece of cloud in layer?
