An outrageous bullying that occurred in the Ministry of Labor and caused the victim to commit suicide in the office has gone viral these days. Widespread critics arose against that manager, even from her comrades of the DPP administration who had been trying to save its downsliding pool.

However, few critics have discussed the case from a psychological aspect. An exacting manager to work for is not necessarily one who only relies on bullying subordinates to exert authority to make them obey orders. In my working experience, I have seen a few overbearing managers or executives who lack enough general and professional knowledge for their jobs. The only way for them to survive (or thrive) is by putting on air to the extent of bullying to conceal their incapabilities. 

By the way, those guys must have two faces. One is for their subordinates, and the other is for their bosses.
