As I have always said, the root cause of the so-called "progressive movements" prospering in Taiwan, such as the abolition of the death penalty, anti-nuke, LGBT, and so on, are all serving the Anti-China purposes, trying to eliminate the Chinese elements from Taiwan and making it quite different from China Mainland. Undoubtedly, the DPP administration has always been the "shadow warrior" behind the scenes. But it is reluctant to give overt support to those "advanced" groups, so it lets the American dad do it, under the name of USAID, to feed the dog food on the sly.
