I Poetry You

Beautiful, you
Upon the pages weep
Thoughts; songs of your own
Mysterious making; beloved
Is the poem that writes herself into existence
And goes crazy until she has shared.

When, with minute yet accidental
Scrutiny, Dickinson’s dust settles on your page
You waken to the gentlest
Sparrows kissing your cheek,
Or the roughest scar on your foot,
With wisdom beyond
“This world’s enlarged inspection.”

When you write a poem
For me, you create me,
Making me real
I emerge to touch you, gently
As the sun warms the dawn,
Your smile evolves, genuine
As the piano Lawrence reveals,
That we hear together, laughing musically

We do not drown in music,
But swim upon the melody in bountiful joy
In sharing, we create each other
You, I, poetry,
I Poetry You

看見d.d.

D. H. Lawrence
d.d. (daidihu) 於 2020-06-26 15:42 回覆:
Piano
By D. H. Lawrence

Softly, in the dusk, a woman is singing to me;
Taking me back down the vista of years, till I see
A child sitting under the piano, in the boom of the tingling strings
And pressing the small, poised feet of a mother who smiles as she sings.

In spite of myself, the insidious mastery of song
Betrays me back, till the heart of me weeps to belong
To the old Sunday evenings at home, with winter outside
And hymns in the cosy parlour, the tinkling piano our guide.

So now it is vain for the singer to burst into clamour
With the great black piano appassionato. The glamour
Of childish days is upon me, my manhood is cast
Down in the flood of remembrance, I weep like a child for the past.

Emily Dickinson
d.d. (daidihu) 於 2020-06-26 15:40 回覆:
Dust is the only Secret
by Emily Dickinson

Dust is the only Secret --
Death, the only One
You cannot find out all about
In his "native town."

Nobody know "his Father" --
Never was a Boy --
Hadn't any playmates,
Or "Early history" --

Industrious! Laconic!
Punctual! Sedate!
Bold as a Brigand!
Stiller than a Fleet!

Builds, like a Bird, too!
Christ robs the Nest --
Robin after Robin
Smuggled to Rest!

This quiet Dust was Gentlemen and Ladies
By Emily Dickinson

This quiet Dust was Gentlemen and Ladies
And lads and girls;
Was laughter and ability and sighing,
And frocks and curls;

This passive place a summer's nimble mansion,
Where bloom and bees
Fulfilled their oriental circuit,
Then ceased like these.

The Dust behind I strove to join
BY Emily Dickinson

The Dust behind I strove to join
Unto the Disk before —
But Sequence ravelled out of Sound
Like Balls upon a Floor —
