The ebb and flow of the tide is a phenomenon of nature, but the tide of opinon from either side of the strait on the future of Taiwan is quite different and lopsided with each other for the time being, yet to achieve equilibrium. 

Not until Taiwan accepts One China principle will the tide go out; everybody knows it.  Until then the relationship between China's Mainland and China's Taiwan will have a rosy prospect, just like the next pharse of subject verse that points out: 風正一帆懸.

P.S.  FYI, the verses are the excerpts from the poem "次北固山下" written by poet Wang Wan(王灣) of Tang Dynasty.  Well, it is far-fetched to think that Mr. 王灣 predicted his poem would be applicable to the situation of 台灣 over a thousand years later.
