A quisling means a person who helps an enemy that has taken control of his or her country.  So by this definition Prof. Lin Yifu(林毅夫) is not a quisling; at most we could only regard him as a renegade who betrays his party or camp, but not his country: China.  Wong Jingwei(汪精衛) is the one, because he betrayed not only his party but also his country to serve the enemy, Japan.

Are Jap Li, A-Bian, and Wonky Cai quislings?  You may say they want Taiwan to be a new country, just as American colonists did to secede from Britain, so they are quislings to none.  I agree, but those Taidu advocates have to fight for their goal, and they dare not do so, not a bit.  Under this circumstance, the only way they can do is to find an unction, or an ideological prop: cut off the cultural ties with China.  But when they brush Chinese culture aside, what else has there left for Taiwan?  Not much, so the only recourse they have is Japan, their former master.  Therefore, we may call them quasi-quislings, making preparation for being real quislings.
