“做真實的自己”除了上面的Just be yourself 外，不要一字一句翻譯，在英文中還有另外一個表達是"let your hair down"。

這說法源自17 世紀。過去，西方女子很多都留長髮，出門社交把頭髮盤在頭上梳出各種式樣來。晚上回家後她們就把頭髮很自然地披在肩上。

To let one's hair down的實質意思也就是解除表面的裝飾，使一切顯得很自然、真實和放鬆。後來，"let your hair down" （把頭髮散開）就用來表示“放鬆、展現真實的自己”。

Meaning: If you let your hair down, you enjoy yourself by doing whatever you feel like doing and not worrying about what other people might think.

For example:
‧ It was only after the completion of this project that Charles let his hair down. 只有在完成專案後，Charles 才能真正放心、放鬆。
‧ Come on, George! It's Saturday night so why don't you stop being so serious and sensible and let your hair down for a change? (George，別這樣，周末夜，不要這麼嚴肅理性，放鬆一下，來點小改變！)
