浩態狂香昔未逢，

Never before have I seen these full-sized and heavy-scented peonies.

红燈爍爍綠盤籠。

Rosy flowers like red lanterns flaring over saucer-shpaed green leaves.

覺來獨對情驚恐，

How was I overwhelmed by the beauty of their full bloom in the morning,

身在仙宫第幾重。

making me wonder if I was living somewhere in the heavenly palace?
