Lone Poet
In northern China, he hiked upon
a ghostly ruin on a high ground,
seeing around:
"Ahead of me, I see no one of past
Behind me, neither any from future
In between earth and sky
An endless landscape of time
pensively, I cry"
A poem from the ancient Tang
his loneliness passing down,
Chen Zee-On,
finally died in 702 AD, in a jail cell
Still no one was with him
the last day of his life.
