憫農其一 春種一粒粟， A seeding sowed in Spring, 秋收萬顆子。 myriad rice harvested in Autumn. 四海無閒田，The arable fields are everywhere, 農夫猶餓死。 farmers starve to death anyway. 憫農其二 鋤禾日當午，Hoeing the furrows at noon, 汗滴禾下土。sweats dropping onto the fields 誰知盤中餐，Knowing every rice in plates 粒粒皆辛苦。 is hard to come by? PS: Later, the higher ranking this sympathetic poet got, the more luxurious life he enjoyed. He might have forgotten his original mission then.
