前不見古人，  When I look back, I dont see any wise forerunners.

后不見來者。  I dont anticipate any sensible followers in the future.

念天地之悠悠  Imagining the countless days yet to come,

獨愴然而涕下。Im alone and sobbing bitterly.

PS: I found the poem printed on the sleeve of a pair of chopsticks, which was the one I ate with at a chain restaurant yesterday. My contemporaries had all read the poem in their high school days.
