I seldom drive in Taipei because the places I repair to are accessible by buses or subways. Nevertheless. still I keep that 18-years-old sedan though its air conditioner has been out of order for a long time. (You know, I am allergic to cool air, so no matter how hot the weather is in Taipei, I had better stand the heat in my car during summer time with open windows.) But due to COVID, I drove a lot in the city recently. Yesterday at 1300 pm, almost high noon, my wife and I drove to meet a chiroproactic appointment. Without air condition in the car, she just could not stand the heat and so she complained a lot. After the treatment, we encountered an almost unprecedented storm in Taipei. Then we were in a quandary: lowering down the window to get us wet or closing the windows and driving with steamy windshield. Thanks to Heaven, finally we made it home. Today we sent our car to the garage of oringal dealership and replace a new air conditioner. Well, now I am going to make my car an antique. |
