東風夜放花千樹，   

Brightening lanterns are like thousands of trees bursting into blossom in the wind blown from the east on the night.

更吹落，星如雨。

Perfumed roads are bustling with festival floats carried by horses decorated in gems.

鳳簫聲動，玉壺光轉，一夜魚龍舞。       

Phoenix-carved flutes are playing, bright moonbeams are lingering, and the dragon- and fish-shaped lanterns are moving around the whole night.

蛾兒雪柳黃金縷，笑語盈盈暗香去。

Girls are all dressed up to the nines, chatting and laughing merrily, leaving a scented atmosphere behind.

眾里尋他千百度，驀然回首，那人卻在，燈火闌珊處。

In the crowd, I am searching for her a thousand times; suddenly, I turn my head around, seeing her standing where the lantern light is dim.
