明月別枝驚鵲，The bright moonbeams startled the magpies on twigs.

清風半夜鳴蟬。The breeze brought in the sound of cicadas at midnight.

稻花香里說豐年 ，People were talking about their good harvest,

聽取蛙聲一片。     amid the sound of frogs croaking one after another.

七八個星天外，  Sparse stars were shining, off the skies yonder.

兩三點雨山前。  Several raindrops fell, on the hillside nearby.

舊時茅店社林邊  The same old thatched shop was still there in the grove beside the temple.

路轉溪橋忽見。Turning around, I found the brook and the bridge in no time.
