Beyond the green Mt. Beigu, I am a lone sailer on the blue river.

潮平两岸闊，風正一帆懸。

Calm and tranquil in between the banks, I hoist the sail before the wind.

海日生殘夜，江春入舊年。

The rising sun is breaking the dawn, and the elapsing old year is bringing a new spring.

鄉書何處達？歸雁洛陽邊。

Where has my letter home gone? The returning wild geese will send it to Luoyang.

PS  "潮平两岸闊，風正一帆懸。海日生殘夜，江春入舊年" represents the prospect I am wishing for the future across both sides of the strait.
