獨在異鄉為異客，

I am alone and lonely in some place far from home;

每逢佳節倍思親。

the thoughts of folks shall double whenever the red-letter days come.

遙知兄弟登高處，

My brothers must be climbing high on the hill back home now,

遍插茱萸少一人。

still, they are all wearing cornus on their arms without my presence nay.     

P.S.  Today is lunar Double Ninth Day(重陽節), also the Seniors Day(敬老節) now.
