英譯全文 ※※※※ Flowing Water
Back at home there was a stream, curling around the village, never resting. Whilst young, I watched it in silence, the swimming fish under the rocks, the glittering waves. Though innocent hearts cannot capture this sensation with words, they find the moment endearing. ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※
Later, knowing the wise man says "Time waits for no one". To watch the big river compared to my hometown's brook, it tugs at the heart chord. However, one can no longer feel the spirit of the river. ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※
By chance passes large rivers, full of movement and exuberance. It catches the eyes, but when hurried, one cannot connect with it. ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※
At the desk the folks of old said: a poem is made by Dong Po on the Chi Bi Fu , conducted by Qu Yuan on the bank. Poets face water in silence: they entrust it with their troubles. ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ To experience the hardship of life, to watch the land and world change, Waves never fail to wash clean historical figures. They leave behind only with water spiritual crystals. ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※
When troubled, it is the crystal that lights up the heart, brings back the slender stream and its pure waves. Cleansing, enlightening, and walking every twilight. ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※ ※
Flowing water touches only the pure-hearted. The moving stream entails a silent understanding. |
