Use this book to make children's book of their own.Motivation and chosen book: This time, I choose "When I was five?" to help the students to make their own books. I think this book is good at practicing the past tense and a good way to find out the truth that "I am growing up and I am more mature." In the content of the story, Howard, Arthur, the author, brings up many facts to prove and to indicate the truth. At the same time, children will try to find out their own facts of growth and may enjoy in the situation of finding that. Steps: 1.Try to find out and distinguish the differences from simple tense to past tense. 2.Drills about doing the differences (be designed carefully and make sure that most of the students understand the differences). 3.Share the story with all of the students. 4.Make their own concept of map about growing up. 5.Consider the changes of their own. 6.Make the sentences and draws the pictures upon it (for 4-5 pages with cover of the creator's picture in childhood and nowadays). 7.Share with others the finished products. |
