 During the dinner time, Daisy 's mum ask her again to finish her "peas", the awful thing to her, in the plate. Everyone will have some food that they hate to eat it, just like Daisy, she don't like "peas" indeed. But her mother try her best to attract Daisy to eat out her peas. Just how much does Mum want Daisy to eat her peas? Well, she'll give Daisy an extra pudding, a baby elephant, and even a chocolate factory. Now will Daisy eat her peas? Or will she turn the tables on Mum? Although her mum offered the greatest prizes in the world to the little girl. She still refused to accept her mum's suggestion. The surprising ending comes together with the "climax" of the story when Daisy turn the problem back to her mum---let her mum to face another food that she don't like anymore. Why it attract me so much? 我喜歡站在孩子的角度上看事情，以小朋友的觀點來看，大人常常要求小朋友去做連他們自己都做不到的事情，像是故事書中的要求她吃豆子，雖然大人已經給了極多的誘惑希望她不要偏食，吃下她討厭的豆子，她仍究不妥協委屈自己，從這篇故事中我們看到了幾個點： 一、母女倆個性上同樣的不輕易妥協且堅持自己的想法 二、作者對衝突產生時處理策略的幽默，繪者亦將作者這點的感覺詮釋的很好 三、國外教育與我們的不同---鼓勵、接受自己的不喜歡、耐心、大人坦率的接受自己的偏食並向小朋友妥協、 明白轉知自己的意思給大人等等 四、孩子喜歡這本書的原因在於她們為故事中的媽媽所感動，因為她坦承自己也會偏食，因此以同理心看不吃 豆子的Daisy，讓人很是感動 |
