P&G_人才由內部打造

A. G. Lafley 於 2000~2009 出任P&G 的董事長兼CEO,2013年再度回任。

這家企業實踐了《決勝人才力》,公司網頁有個欄目《Leadership Development》,以斗大的藍色字體打出標題字:Built from Within

P&G people are the Company's most important asset and source of competitive advantage.  Our success depends entirely on the strength of our talent pipeline, which we build from within and manage with a desciplined process led by the CEO and the senior leadership team.

Our approach to developing leaders at P&G is elegantly simple.  We take the same rigorous and discipined approach to developing leaders at P&G around the world in every business, in every region and at every level.

這兩段話說明公司對人才力的看法:

  • 人才是公司最大的競爭優勢,公司的成功取決於源源不絕的人才輸送管道(talent pipeline)。這條人才補給管線,必須由執行長與資深領導團隊發揮內部力量有紀律的打造與維護。
  • P&G 自認為培育領導人的方式並不複雜,無論世界哪個地區、哪個事業單位、哪個層級,都秉持一貫的嚴謹紀律的方式培養領導人。

此外,網頁還列出七點與人才力有關的要項: 

  1. 培養領導人的頂尖公司(P&G is recognized as a top company for leaders.)
  2. 目的與價值觀(We share P&G's purpose and values.)
  3. 雇用最好的(We hire the best.)
  4. 雇用即開始磨練(We challenge P&G people from day one.)
  5. 部門與功能領導肩負招募、教導、教練之責(Business and functional leaders actively recruit, teach and coach.)
  6. 生涯規劃(We plan careers.)
  7. 永不停止學習(We never stop learning.)
