為人處世應讓事圓融還是圓滑呢？

差一個字就差很多的，

While getting along with people, what is the attitude you often take,

“yuan ron” (harmonious and well-rounded) or “yuan hua” (harmonious and sly)?

These two terms are only different in one word, but very different in meaning.

這個人很圓融，這個人很圓滑，一樣嗎？你們要學那一樣呢？

因為圓滑裡面還有一個狡滑，圓融是圓滿，融圓的意思。

A person of yuan ron is always sweet and thoughtful,

trying his best to get things done and making everybody happy.

A person of yuan hua, however, is prone to be sly and cunning.

在掌聲中長大的孩子總比在怒罵中長大的孩子好吧？

Isn’t a child growing in an environment of applause better

than one growing in raging discipline?

既然是這樣，你們不會吝嗇給別人掌聲，還有也不要吝嗇給自己掌聲。

If you understand it, you will not be stingy with your compliments

to other people, nor will you be stingy to give yourself compliments.
