In my last writing I said I'd controverted those anti-unification fallacies that China's mainland will do something wrong towards people of Taiwan when unification realized.  Today I've got a few responses from the e-mail recepients, in which most of them were in favor of "remaining status quo".  That figures.

But they have to understand that ever since 1949 when Chiang and KMT were defeated in civil war and fleed to Taiwan, there has been "One Country, Two Systems" all the time across the strait until now, and will carry over to the foreseeable future.  You may say no matter Taidu, who denies One-China policy, or Taidu, who reluctantly accepts One Country in name only, won't take "One Country, Two Systems", how come it equals to "remaining status quo"?  Because "Two Systems" has been a long-existing fact, and it will continue to last in the days of unification, while nobody in Taiwan ever dares revoke the title of Republic of China, i.e. the de jure China.  So, when people show a propensity for "remaining status quo", actually they have to accept "One China, Two Systems", willy-nilly.

Insist on de-China moves?  Fine, but you have to prepare yourselves for accepting "One China, One System" someday, somehow.
