Tonight is Christmas Eve here in America. My wife and I had no place to go to spend the night, for the families of my daughter's went to Buffalo to join my son-in-law's parents for Christmas. So only two of us were alone together, plus two cats that my son left for us while he and his wife are travelling Spain right now. Yet we had a good time for us. A neighbor told me this morning that not far away from our place there is a big house decorated with splendid Christmas lightings, and in its front yard posted a clear sign of "tune in 91.3". When the welcomed visitors drive there and turn on their stereos to the frequency, they can see the lightings "dancing" perfectly harmonious to the music played by the channel, song after song. So after supper, we came, we saw, we listened. It's really marvelous! (We forgot to bring cell phones with us; otherwise, you can see the picture here. Sorry.) When back to home, I incidentally found an article about "沈崇事件", a significant incident that took place in Beijing on the Christmas Eve 71 years ago. Please see this relatively lenghty report at http://www.guancha.cn/robertshaffer/2017_12_24_440347.shtml if you are interested in. Thanks to PRC, there have been no armies from foreign countries that could station in China's land any more. DPP administration, you've got know that any US ships to take up a berth in Taiwan is an absolutely intolerable situation to China's Mainland. You'd better watch out! |
