弦歌所翻譯的來源 American Round Dancing 可能就是這一本原版後來的修訂本: (這是作者 Frank Hamilton寫的 Introduction to American Round Dancing,1953年出版.)
本舞用的是Neil Sedaka在1962年所灌錄的同名曲,本曲出版後立刻打入全美排行榜前百大,
並於1962年5月13日衝到第45名,總共停留在百大榜內共9週的時間. Neil Sedaka可說是流行
音樂界的才子,1957年出道,集作詞,作曲,演唱,鋼琴演奏於一身,很快就竄紅起來,唱片銷售量
總共超過數百萬張.
1962年這首歌紅起來之後,他把好幾首歌,包括這一首歌,用義大利文翻唱, 歐洲還銷售不錯呢.
他的父親是土耳其裔;母親是波蘭與俄羅斯混血,跟義大利完全沒有關係. 所以他出義大利版的
歌曲,充分展現他語言的天份.
