31・上主的言語正直誠實;凡他所做,盡皆忠誠。上主喜歡仁義公平,他的慈愛彌漫大地。(詠33:4-5)


For the word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all He does. The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.(Psalms 33:4-5)


32・信賴上主,致力行善; 你必安居樂土,享受康寧。(詠37:3)


Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.(Psalms 37:3)


33・當止住怒氣,離棄暴怒;不要常憂惱--它只會導致邪惡。(詠37:8)


Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it leads only to evil.(Psalms 37:8)


34・一個義人所有的雖少,卻好過許多惡人的富餘。(詠37:16)


Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked.(Psalms 37:16)


35・未見義人遭背棄,也未見過他的後裔討飯。他們終身施惠憐恤,他們的子孫必蒙祝福。(詠37:25-26)


I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.(Psalms 37:25-26)


36・當離惡行善,你就可以永遠在此安居。(詠37:27)


Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever.(Psalms 37:27)


37・我要謹言慎行,避免我的舌頭犯罪;惡人在我面前時,我要用嚼環勒住我的口。(詠39:1)


I said, “I will watch my ways and keep my tongue from sin; I will put a muzzle on my mouth while in the presence of the wicked.”(Psalms 39:1)


38・你使我的歲月屈指可數; 我的生命在你面前算是虛無。世人的生存,只是一口氣。人生實如泡影: 無謂忙碌, 積累財富, 不知誰將得到它。(詠39:6-7)


You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man's life is but a breath. Selah. Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain; he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it.(Psalms -39:5-6)


39・我的罪惡必定出世便有,我的罪惡始自母親受孕時。你必愛樂那出自內心的真實,求你教我內心深處的智慧。(詠51:7-8)


Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me. Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.(Psalms- 51:5,6)


40・天主,求你給我再造一顆純潔的心,求你使我心重獲堅固的意志。然後, 我會教導惡人你的正道,罪人們都會回歸, 奔向你。(詠51:12,15)


Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.(Psalms 51:12,13)


41・你不歡喜祭獻,不然我會獻祭;你也不喜歡全燔祭。我祭獻天主的就是這憂傷痛悔的心靈;這顆痛悔謙卑的心,天主,你不會輕視它。(詠51:18-19)


You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. (Psalms -51:16-17)


42・不要仗勢(敲詐)欺人,或因搶奪而驕傲;若財寶加增,不要放在心上。(詠62:10)


Do not trust in extortion or take pride in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.(Psalms 62:10)


43・主啊!你是慈愛的,你必會照各人的行為回報他。(詠62:12)


and that you, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.(Psalms 62:12)


44・我們虛渡的年歲,像一聲嘆息。我們的壽數,不外七十春秋,若是強壯,也不過八十寒暑;求你教導我們如實渡日,使我們達到內心的智慧。(詠90:9-10,12)


All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a moan. The length of our days is seventy years--or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.(Psalms 90:9-10,12)


45・上主知道人的思念,知道它們都是虛幻的。(詠94:11)


The LORD knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile.(Psalms 94:11)


46・天地必將毀滅,而你永遠存在; 萬物必將如衣裳一樣破敗。就如更換衣服,都要丟棄代謝。但是你卻永存不變,你的壽命無盡無限。(詠102:27-28)


In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.(Psalms- 102:25-26)


47・上主仁慈(悲憫)寬恕,遲於發怒,極富慈愛。衪決不會時時指責,也決不會世世憤恨。衪沒有按我們的罪惡對待我們,也沒有照我們的不義報復我們。(詠103:8-10)


The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse,nor will he harbor his anger forever. He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.(Psalms 103:8-10)


48・敬畏上主是智慧的開始; 凡遵守他誡律的有正知見。(詠111:10)


The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise. (Psalms 111:10)


49・像光明在暗處照耀義人: 衪是仁慈,悲憫,公正的。樂善好施的人必蒙受祝福: 他以正義判斷處理自己的事務。(詠112:4-5)


To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: he is merciful, and compassionate and just. Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment.(Psalms 112:4-5)


50・求你教我認知你的法律,我會全心持守不逾。求你引導我走你規誡的正道,因為在這條正道我找到喜悅。(詠119:34-35)


Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.(Psalms 119:34-35)


51・受苦於我有益,可使我學習您的旨意。您口中的律法於我有益,勝於千萬金銀。(詠119:71-72)


It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.(Psalms 119:71-72)


52・那含淚播種的人,必含笑歌唱豐收。(詠126:5)


Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.(Psalms 126:5)


53・不聽我的勸誡,藐視我的責備,必自食充滿自己計謀的惡果。(箴1:30-31)


Since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke, they will eat the fruit of their ways and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.(Proverbs1:30-31)


54・愚昧(癡)人背道,必殺己身;愚頑(糊涂)人安逸,必害己命。(箴1:32)


For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.(Proverbs1:32)


55・智慧必使你行善人之道,守義人之路。(箴2:20)


Thus you will walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. (Proverbs2:20)


56・決不要讓慈祥和忠誠離棄你; 要將它們繫在你的頸上,刻在你的心版上。這樣,你在天主和世人面前,必獲得恩寵和好名。(箴3:3-4)


Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.(Proverbs3:3-4)


57・不要自以為有智慧; 要敬畏上主,遠離惡事。(箴3:7)


Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.(Proverbs 3:7)


58・不離棄智慧,她就會護衛你;愛智慧,她就會守護你。(箴4:6)


Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. (Proverbs 4:6)


59・你要保衛你的心,勝過保衛一切,因為它是生命的泉源。(箴4:23)


Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.(Proverbs4:23)


60・惡人必被自己的罪孽誘捕; 他的罪孽如繩索緊繞。(箴5:22)


The evil deeds of a wicked man ensnare him; the cords of his sin hold him fast.(Proverbs 5:22)
