Preface
歷史學家羅丹:「西方的文化是借基督信仰建立起來的,基督信仰將我們這些野蠻人帶入了有文化的境界;如果我們否認基督信仰,那麼我們這些有文化人將重新變成野蠻人。」
This historian Rodin once said: “The western civilization was founded upon the Christian faith,it was the Christian faith that brought us the barbarians to the state of civilization; should we deny the Christian faith, then we, though once were civilized ones will be thrown back to the status of barbarity.”
基督信仰的核心就是聖經,聖經的核心就是仁慈博愛。落實在生活中,就是倫理、道德、因果教育。聖經是猶太民族祖祖相傳修身、齊家、治國的寶典,維繫著民族信仰的命脈。
The core of the Christian faith is in the Bible, and the core of the Bible is the compassion and love for humanity. When practiced in daily life, they are called ethical relations, morality, and the education of causality. The Bible has been handed down to the Jewish people through the generations as the precious Canon for self-development, family harmony, and ruling of the nations. It has been the lifeline that holds the Jewish and their faith together.
《舊約》那些古聖先賢的事跡所昭示的真理就是倫理道德因果教育,《新約》耶穌和他的弟子把倫理道德因果教育重新表演出來。今天高度發達的西方物質文明和科技,是《聖經》教化的果實。
The truth testified by the stories of the ancient saints and sages in the Old Testament is the education of moral, ethical relationships, and the law of cause and effect. In the New Testament,Jesus and his disciples re-enacted such truth through themselves. The material civilisation and the advanced science and technology in today’s western society are the fruition of the Bible’s teachings and transformations.
我們忽略了基督信仰,一味追求物質享受和高科技,造成了今天人心浮躁不安、世界動蕩不安。
We have now neglected the Christian faith and are blindly pursuing material comforts and high technology. This is the cause for our impetuous and insecure minds, and for the turbulence and the
lack of tranquillity in today’s world.

How can we restore world order so that everyone can live in God’s peace and joy? We must take our faith seriously and regain our understanding of the Bible.
In the busy and fast-paced modern society, it is almost impossible to ask anyone to read the entire Bible. In order to facilitate the study of the Bible, three hundred and sixty verses has been excerpted, which are concise, easy to read, and can be said as
a condensed version of the essence of the Bible. Spending a few minutes everyday reading one passage (for 360 days) has the same effect of reading the entire Bible in a year.
不但要能熟讀經文,而且要背熟,記在心裡。把每天學習的經文,作為標準,落實在自己的生活、工作、處事待人接物中。依教奉行,斷惡修善,改往修來,「脫去舊人,穿上新人」。從此不再「隨從、切望肉性而生活,要切望聖神。隨從肉性的切望,導入死亡;隨從聖神的切望,導入生命。」(羅8:5—6)。
Not only is it important to be familiar with the verses but one should also memorise and remember the teaching of the verses by heart. We should implement the new verse learnt each day in our life, in our work and interactions with others, and should abide by such standards of conduct. The teachings should be followed and reverently practiced. We should endeavour to end all evil, cultivate goodness and correct mistakes from the past. So let us put aside our old selves and put on our new selves. (Romans 8:5—6) “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace.”
一人改變一家就改變,一家改變一個團體一個社會就改變了,一個社會改變了,就會帶動全世界改變,迎來「新天新地」。神愛世人,神怎麼愛世人?就是我們這些信仰他的人把神的愛活出來,代表神愛世界,我們都要做神的形象大使,神就在我們中間。
Transformation of one single person can change a family, transformation of a family can change a community or a society, and the transformation of a society can drive the whole world to change and ultimately bring forth a new age. God loves the common people, so how does He love them? Those of us who entrust faith in Him ought to live out His love. We should love this world as He would and become His ambassadors. In this way, God will be amongst us.
愛,不分種族、文化、黨派、宗教、貧富貴賤。平等的愛,這是真正的公教catholic。與所有的宗教、種族、國家平等對待、和睦相處,相親相愛,守望相助。
Love should be equal, regardless of one’s race, culture, political affiliation, religion, or whether one is poor or rich, noble or common. Such love is the true Catholicism. All religions, ethnicities and countries should treat each other with equality, co-exist in harmony and mutual love, and always help one
宗教教育能化解世界的矛盾、衝突,為人類帶來真正持久的幸福,為全球帶來永續的太平盛世。繼承和發揚耶穌救世的偉業,福音昔日重來,主愛在人間。願與您共勉!
The education of religions can resolve global conflicts and adversities; thereby bring true and lasting happiness to humanity and offer this world everlasting peace and prosperity. Let us inherit, advocate and continue Jesus’ undertakings of salvation. May the gospel return and the love of the God remain in this world!. So please, let us work together to achieve this goal.
