Mind Your Manners!
hello friends and welcome to studio classroom
my name is Ann Marie and my name is Gabe
thank you very much for joining us here today
let’s start today’s lesson with a it’s all about manners
what were some manners
that you grew up with
and how do you feel about them now
that’s an interesting question when i think of manners
i think of table manners
that is the kind of the etiquette that you need to have
when you’re eating at a table somewhere
with other people at home especially
i think you know
we had a rule
we’re not supposed to put our elbows on the table
when we were eating
and then after the meal when you were eating dessert
then it was okay to put your elbows on the table
i don’t really feel
strongly about
not putting your elbows on the table right now
though what about social rules
do you have any rules about
when you were out in public in society
that you had to follow you know
there’s a saying i don’t know if everybody grew up hearing this
but children are supposed to be seen and not heard so basically
whenever children are out in public
the proper thing is for them to remain as quiet as possible
especially when there are other adults around
but then of course
adults want to see children and are happy when they see children
so children are supposed to be seen but not
heard i don’t know how i feel about that well
why are we talking about manners friends
it’s because that’s what our lesson is all about
it is called mind your manners
today is a great day to learn something new
so let’s do that together
mind your manners remembering to think of others
helps everyone every society has unwritten rules
that people are expected to know
they’re just good manners society comes along
when those rules are followed
when they aren’t people feel frustrated
and sometimes get upset so what are some of these rules
hello everyone
welcome to language lab
i’m Jack
her inability to solve the complex problem frustrated eevee
but she was determined
not to give up eevee
Oscar felt frustrated when his computer crashed
losing hours of Unsaved work
例如the growing frustration among the townspeople
led to a meeting
to talk about the issue of growing crime in the city
all right let’s talk about manners friends now
our title is a common saying in English mind
your manners
we say this often times to kids when they’re being rude
or they’re doing something that isn’t socially acceptable
we say hey mind your manners
or it can be a reminder for them too
when they’re going to be away from their parents
we say make sure you mind your manners
while you’re away from me that’s right
i think it might be short for be mindful of your manners
mindful is
one of those words
that we’re going to take a look at in this lesson
just to be really aware of how your acting
and how it affects other people around you so mind
your manners speak
or behave properly and politely
remembering to think of others helps everyone well
that’s a true saying wouldn’t you say Anne Marie yes
it’s good to think of others that will help everybody
and that phrase there to think of something
or think of someone is that idea of mindfulness
it’s the idea of keeping other people in your mind
all the time we use this phrase in other ways as well
you could say why didn’t i think of that
why didn’t i come up with that idea myself
so let’s move on here
every society has unwritten rules
that people are expected to know i don’t like unwritten rules
because i like to have clear expectations oh
yeah me too
have you ever played a game where there were unwritten rules
i don’t like to play those
kinds of games
you don’t like to play those kinds of games
or where you can make up the rules
as you go along
not my cup of tea yeah
not your cup of tea no nice crazy not your favorite thing right
so what is an unwritten rule well
the opposite might be a formal rule okay
something that everybody knows
maybe it’s written in law or in the constitution right
that’s a written rule an unwritten rule is informal
but it’s like
because you’re part of this group of people or society
there are certain ways that you should act
or we expect you to act or speak in a certain way
even
though we haven’t written them down as formal rules anywhere
that’s right and our writer here
says they’re just good manners that means you should know this
it’s just the right thing to do all right
we read on society hums along when those rules are followed
that means it’s socially acceptable now
if you hum along to something
it usually means that you’re listening to some type of music
and you start to sing
hung Ming is this sound
so if you hear a song that you know or you like you might
hum along now
what is our lesson say that society
hums along well
when you’re humming you’re probably in a good mood right
if you’re not humming
or if something makes you stop singing or humming
maybe you don’t like that
thing so maybe if someone is acting in an inappropriate way
they’re not following those unwritten rules well
that it might make you a little bit upset
that’s kind of what happens with society right
so society comes along when those rules are followed
when they aren’t people feel frustrated and sometimes get upset
all right so what are some of these rules
although they are unwritten rules
they are written down here in our magazine
friends for us to learn
we’re going to get into them in just a moment
right here in our next reading
mind your manners
people expect that when they enter or exit a place
the doorway should be clear
stopping or standing right
at an entrance or exit blocks the flow of traffic
going in both directions
so people should keep moving
this is also true at the top or bottom of an escalator
when going through a door
pull the door until the person behind
you grabs it instead of letting it shut in their face also
whoever arises at the door first
should open it for the person behind them
opening a door for someone is a gesture of kindness
Jude stood in the doorway
taking a deep breath before stepping into the room to face
the committee
Jude
Shawn placed a welcome rug in the doorway
hoping to make
the entrance to his home
the homeless man slept in doorways all over the downtown area
trying to keep warm at night为了取暖
譬如when the escalator broke down
it caused problems during the morning
rush hour as everyone had to use the stairs
Sophia watched the children
as they rode the escalator up
and down fascinated by the moving steps
Sophia
Edward always stood to the right on the escalator
so those in a hurry could pass by on the left
Edward
all right let’s get into it
friends people expect that when they enter or exit a place
the doorway should be clear
so this is one of our first unwritten rules
we’re going to talk about now a minute ago
i mentioned the word expectations
and that is a big thing when it comes to unwritten rules
what is an expectation
well it’s a strong belief that something will happen
or it is the case
so an expectation means that you want something to happen you
believe that it should happen a certain way yeah
so society or people in society have certain expectations right
people expect that when they enter or exit a place
the doorway should be clear
that means there should be nothing blocking the doorway
you can use the word clear as an adjective as it is here
or you can use it as a verb right
you can clear the path
or you can clear the doorway
that means something was blocking it
but now you’re taking those things out of the way
okay so stopping or standing right
at an entrance or exit blocks the flow of traffic
going in both directions
i like that we’ve used the flow of traffic here
this is a phrase that we use
when we’re talking about traffic on the street
the way
that the cars are moving if there’s a good flow of traffic
it means that there aren’t any accidents
there isn’t any blockage
that are keeping cars from going through
the flow of traffic is good
but if there’s a bad flow of traffic
it means that people are stopping
and maybe not able to continue going through yeah
you start your car
and then stop again you go forward a little bit and stop
that’s not a good flow of traffic right
and in the same way when you’re walking
or a lot of people are walking in a direction
you want there to be a good flow of traffic
so that’s going in both directions
so people should keep moving this is also true
at the top or bottom of an escalator
the idea here is that when you’re minding
your manners near a doorway
or at the top or bottom of an escalator
don’t just stop there to look at your phone
or do something else
you want to keep moving
this is one of my pet peeves when someone gets on their phone
when they’re standing in the middle of the sidewalk
or at the top of an escalator
in the front of a door
i really really don’t like when people do that pet peeve
means it’s something that really annoys me yeah
well we’ll get to sidewalks tomorrow anyway
okay yeah
it’s related that’s right
stopping in the middle of a sidewalk is kind of the same idea
but yes remember
not to stop in the middle of one of these places
you want to keep moving now
let’s move on here when going through
a door hold the door until the person behind you grabs
it instead of letting it shut in their face
let’s take a look at this phrase to hold the door
that doesn’t mean you’re actually holding it up
or lifting it up off the ground
it’s probably a pretty heavy door
we use this phrase hold the door to mean to hold it open
and not let it close
that’s right also
whoever arise at the door first should
open it for the person behind them
opening a door for someone is a gesture of kindness now
what is a gesture
well a gesture can be a hand
movement or emotion that you make for example
while you’re talking or giving a speech
but a gesture can also be something that you do for someone else
so
a gesture of kindness is something kind that you do for others
for example getting flowers for someone
who’s in the hospital is a kind gesture
right now it’s time for today’s infocloud
hello everyone welcome to infocloud
traveling to a new country can be a fun and exciting experience
but it can be hard to know how to behave in a new culture
i totally agree
you can look up the rules of that country
on a government website
but that won’t tell you
anything about the unwritten cultural rules yeah
i was traveling in Japan recently
i bought a snack at a convenience store and ate it
while i walked to the subway station ha
you broke an unwritten rule
didn’t you yes
everyone looked at me funny
i didn’t know
why until my Japanese friend
told me that eating and walking at the same time
breaks an unwritten rule well
now you know
keep in mind that unwritten rules aren’t really illegal
you won’t be arrested for breaking them
but the people around you will disapprove
we come across these in everyday
life like it’s often expected to give
people some personal space
when you’re lining up at a store or on public transportation
you’re expected to let people get off a train or bus
before new people get on those are rules that on really laws
but most people in society know about them
and thankfully
they are often written down
if you want to know about some unwritten rules for a new place
look up an article online for some help

it is an unwritten rule to not eat while walking
Infocloud
mind your manners
almost everyone knows that
it’s essential to arrive on time for a meeting or date
but they ignore the cues indicating the time to leave
when someone mentions its getting late
or they have a busy day
ahead its time to wrap up your visit
when you see someone looking at the time
its also a signal to move on to something else
the actor walked nervously to the back of the stage for his cue
because he had forgotten his line
或是the sudden drop in temperature
was the cue for birds to start flying south for the winter
Amy pointed to her watch to kill her friend
that it was time to leave the party
Amy
all right friends
let’s keep reading here
almost everyone knows that
it’s essential to arrive on time for a meeting or date
now if something is essential
it means that it is necessary
it’s something that you need to do for example
it’s essential that you remember to take your homework
back to school the next day so normally
it’s essential to arrive on time for a meeting or a date
but then people don’t necessarily know when to leave now before
we get to that point
i wanted to talk a little bit about
when it might be okay to be a little bit late
for example and Marie um do you always like it when people like
for example you have a um activity at your house hmm
do you always like it
when people arrive exactly on time or do you like
having that few minutes extra to clean up a little bit more
it depends on what the activity is going to be
if i’ve prepared dinner and dinner’s ready at a certain time
i don’t like people to be late
but sometimes having a little extra time to clean could be okay
right or maybe you’ve heard the phrase fashionably late
for certain events
it may be okay to come in a little bit later than the event
actually starts to arrive fashionably late
but in most cases
you want to be on time okay now when should you leave well
Jack talked about cues in the language lab
but i don’t think he talked about social cues
and that’s what this section is really about the social cues
and you really need to pay attention to those social cues
because after all
they’re not written down
that’s right and we see
an example of a social cue here in this next sentence
when someone mentions that it’s getting late
or they mention that they have a busy day ahead
that means it’s time to wrap up your visit
so this is a social cue if you’re over at somebody’s house
or you’re out to eat with someone
and they say well i really have a busy day tomorrow
that means they are saying i need to go home
or i need you to leave yeah
it’s an indirect way of communicating something
it could also rely on your nonverbal communication
as well or the tone of voice
but those are social cues right
so maybe you need to wrap up your visit well
to wrap up something
is another way of saying you’re going to end something
maybe you heard the phrase
it’s a wrap that means after you
and your team have finished a project
someone says it’s a wrap that means it’s all done
the speaker said that he was about to wrap up his speech
that just means he was about to end his speech okay
so when someone says that it’s getting late
or that they have a busy day ahead
you need to wrap up your visit that means make it stop
make it end and leave when you see someone looking at the time
it’s also a signal to move on to something else
we see this word signal here
and that’s directly related to the phrase social cue
that we were talking on
talking about a social cue is a type of signal
and what does it mean to look at the time well
of course you’re looking at something
like a watch or a clock or the time on your smartphone right now
Ann Marie i do have to be careful about this
because there are times when i’m just curious what time it is
but i don’t actually have to leave or go anywhere
and i don’t want to leave or go anywhere
but i know that
if people see me looking at my smartphone
and looking at the time
they might think i
want to go somewhere
because that’s an unwritten social cue exactly so
friends what do you think about this
has that ever happened to you right now
it’s time for today’s fun fact
fame
hello fact
friends i am detective
Ernest finder
and i have a fun fact for you
today did you know that in some places
it is good mannered to burp
that’s true but in other places
burping is very rude
so if you need to burp be careful where you do it
you don’t want to get in trouble
okay friends
let’s end our lesson today with a quiz put your magazines down
put your notes away
no peeking fill in the blank every society has blank rules
that people are expected to know
every society has unwritten rules
every society has frustrating rules
every society has escalated rules
or every society has strict rules
you know some societies have pretty strict rules
depending on how much they enforce those rules
some rules can be kind of frustrating that’s true
but i believe the correct answer is unwritten every society
or even organization has some unwritten rules that’s right
that is the phrase that we talked about in our lesson today
we are not done talking about manners
friends
so make sure you come back for the second half of our lesson
tomorrow we’ll see you then right here on studio classroom

Mind Your Manners!
hello there and welcome to studio classroom
my name is Gabe and i’m Ann Marie friends
we are on day two of our article called mind your manners
we talked about some of the expectations
society has for us to have good manners
and these are called unwritten rules yesterday
one of the things
we talked about was how you should hold the door open
for someone who’s coming behind
you instead of letting the door slam or shut in their face
Anne Marie when i was in university
i had a friend who was going into a room
it was kind of a big assembly
and this guy in front of her hold held the door open for her
and wanted her to go in kind of smiled
you know and she said no no
i can hold my own door thank you
and she didn’t want him to hold the door
the key thing here is that he was a hymn
she was a very strong feminist okay
and she did not like the idea of these traditional norms of i
don’t know courtesy
common courtesy things that people used to do in the past
but now people see them as like okay
that it’s not okay to do anymore because after all
women can take care of themselves
i feel like minding your manners
now is a little more complicated than it was in the past
i don’t know i think it’s pretty simple the fact of
the matter is it’s polite to hold the door
open for the next person
no matter your gender exactly
and that’s just one of the rules
the unwritten rules we talked about yesterday
we also talked about not staying at the top of an escalator
when people are trying to go through
and making sure you pay
attention to social cues of when it’s time to leave friends
today is a great day to learn something new
and it’s not time to leave we’re just getting
started let’s learn something new together
mind your manners
good manners in the era of smartphones aren’t a mystery
it’s essential that a person’s physical presence take
precedence over a digital one if your phone rings or pings
while you’re with someone say do you mind
if i get that if you’re given permission
keep your call short
and then return your attention to the person in front of you
hello everyone welcome to language lab
例如the discovery of fire marked a new era in human history
changing the way
people lived and cooked
或是the digital era has changed communication by making it
possible to connect with anyone anywhere in the world instantly
that the sixties was the golden
era of rock and roll许多人说
is essential for maintaining good health
或是the physical demands of the job
required workers to be in good shape
so they could lift heavy objects
或是after her accident
Mae went to physical therapy to get back her strength
and movement in her leg
Mae
all right
thank you so much Jack friends
let’s get right into our lesson today
we read good manners in the era of smartphones
aren’t a mystery well
if something is a mystery
it means you’re not quite sure what’s going on with it
or there’s something about it that you just don’t know
but we say something is not a mystery when we’re saying
it should be obvious
this is something everyone should know here’s an example
it’s a mystery when the package will arrive
nobody knows when that package is going to come
and of course
we’re learning about manners here
and when it comes to smartphones
everybody knows
what good manners are you don’t need to be told right
so it’s not a mystery it’s essential
that a person’s physical presence
takes precedence over a digital one what’s a physical presence
well you are watching us on a screen a digital screen right
so we’re not physically together however
Ann Marie and i right now
we’re filming together in the same room
so our conversation should take precedence over a digital one
in other words
if someone calls me
this should be of secondary importance to what’s going on here
that’s right
and that’s what that phrase takes precedence over means
it means to be more important than something else
here’s another example
when you’re a parent
your kids need to take precedence over your own needs
their needs are more important than yours
but we continue on here if your phone rings or pings while
you’re with someone else say do you mind if i get that well
pings is an interesting word and here
it’s just referring to a sound that your phone might
make we all have different ringtones
our phones make different noises when we get a message
but a lot of those sounds resemble up ping
before i got married
i had two roommates
and one of them always left their notification sounds on oh
it’s okay to have notifications
i think but me and my other roommate
we got kind of annoyed at all the things that would happen yeah
several times
a minute and finally
my roommate said to him hey hey
can you please
just you know turn
the sound off from your notifications that way
the sound won’t bother us
i think the other roommate actually kind of
liked us knowing that he was receiving a lot of notifications
a lot of messages from other people
you know what
i leave on on my phone is the keyboard clicking sound
i know that that annoys
a lot of people wait the keyboard clicking sound so
when you type it goes oh
i like the sound
it makes so i just leave it on a little bit of asmr right
well
these are all different sounds that might happen with your phone
right or that your phone might make
so if your phone rings or pings when you’re with someone
you could say do you mind
if i get that this is a good phrase for you to know okay
there are different ways to answer your phone
but you want to tell the other person
that you’re going to answer
your phone do you mind
if i get that why do we use the word get here
we also say hey
can you get the door
it just means to answer
or to take care of that situation to make sure that
that is resolved
if you’re given permission keep your call short
and then return your attention to the person in front of you
we’re gonna keep learning some more common sense manners
here and a minute friends in our next reading
mind your manners
cellphones allow you to keep in touch with others anywhere
but be mindful of your volume
avoid holding long loud conversations in places
such as checkout lines
public parks or on public transportation also
talking to someone on speakerphone is convenient
but let the other person know they’re on speaker there may be
things they want to say privately
rather than broadcast them to whoever happens to be listening
are necessary for the economic development of an area
the transportation of goods between countries has become easier
thanks to changes in the shipping industry
that airplane was used to transport goods to foreign countries
during a time of crisis在危急时刻
all right thank you Jack well
cell phones allow you to keep in touch with others anywhere
but be mindful of your volume
let’s take a look at some of these things
friends to keep in touch what does that mean yeah
this is a great phrase
this means you’re going to stay in contact
that’s another phrase
that means
the exact same thing to keep in touch to stay in contact
that means to keep the lines of communication
open whether it’s using
a phone call or email or something
like
that you’re going to stay in communication with that person
that’s right
we also want to talk about the idea of being mindful
being mindful
just means that you are keeping something in your mind
or you’re doing something intentionally
for example
it’s important to be mindful of how much junk food you eat
it could be okay to eat junk food once in a while
but you need to pay attention to how much
you’re putting in your body
all right that’s right
so it’s kind of like being aware right
especially of how what you’re doing affects other people now
the sentence kind of
makes it feel like it’s okay to talk on your phone in any place
and that’s just not true
there are certain places
where it’s discouraged to talk on your phone like
maybe at a library or the American club here in Taipei
if you answer your phone
the server there will be very quick to come to your table
to tell you to get up and go outside to talk on your phone
interesting
i also saw a sign at a restaurant just the other day
and it said in English and in Chinese it when you talk to me
do not leave your headphones in wait
so what does that mean like
oh basically give me your full undivided attention exactly
it’s the same idea right
we need to be aware and mindful of
the people around us because our devices are nice to have
but they shouldn’t take precedence over the people
we’re interacting with right in front of us
all right so loud conversations shouldn’t be had in places
such as check out lines
public parks
or on public transportation speaking of check out lines
do you think
it’s always impolite to talk on your phone
when you’ve actually gotten to the counter
and you’re buying your stuff
definitely 100 percent
really super rude
because sometimes like it’s an emergency
like i need to talk to this person
or they just called to ask about something and it’s like well
it’s awkward to just hang up right there or say i don’t know
should i say can i call you back in one minute
yeah
because it only takes two or three minutes to check out anyway
yeah or less or less
maybe the person on the other end of the phone could wait yeah
and i have heard from a lot of clerks
or stories about people working at places
like a checkout counter they do like the personal interaction
because sometimes it can be difficult
serving a lot of people who are just there to buy things
and not treat you like a person
so this is a good reminder we read
also talking to someone on speakerphone is convenient
i guess
but let the other person know they’re on speaker do you think
it’s convenient
it is i think
if you’re in the middle of doing something else
and you don’t have to hold your phone
i have a lot of small kids at home
so i can’t use headphones or earbuds
when i’m talking on the phone
because then
i wouldn’t be able to hear what’s going on around me
so sometimes
my only choice is to put the other person on speakerphone
so has this ever happened to you
Anne Marie where you had the speakerphone on
and the other person on the other end of the line
didn’t know and maybe
they said something kind of sensitive
and you didn’t want the people near you to hear it well
the opposite has happened
i said something sensitive on the phone with someone
and someone else was in the room
and i didn’t know it yeah
right so again if you if you have the phone on speakerphone
make sure you tell the other person right away well
there may be things they want to say privately
rather than broadcast them to whoever happens to be listening
right now it’s time for today’s infocloud
hello friends
welcome to info cloud hey Garrett
i see you’ve had a lot of meetings
lately do you like going to those meetings
i used to dislike them
but now i kind of
enjoy the give and take that goes on in meetings
sometimes they lead to great ideas for products
the expression
give and take refers to negotiation and bargaining with
others yes
during the process
you find out how much you should give how much you can take
that’s why it is called give and take
it’s a reminder that sometimes it’s important to compromise
give and take
can also refer to the exchange of ideas
or a discussion about a topic exactly
that’s why i said
there’s a lot of give and take during meetings
people often have heated discussions about what they should do
the process of compromising through
give and take used to make me nervous
but as my negotiation skills improved
i started to enjoy the process like you yeah
we need each other to accomplish great things
so it is very important to learn how to negotiate
and come to an agreement

give and take其实就是跟别人协商
give and take字面上是给予和收取
give and take其实就是跟别人协商
这样一来一往就是give and take
there’s give and take during the meeting with the client
INFO cloud
mind your manners
there is a basic rule for sidewalks
too don’t hog them
it’s good to be aware of others around you
if your group takes up the entire
sidewalk watch for people approaching some of your group
should then move behind the rest to make way
this will ensure that pedestrian traffic moves smoothly
basically all social behavior boils down to being helpful
and considerate of others
Luke was always considerate of his neighbors
and kept the noise down when their baby was asleep
Luke
Josie was considerate enough to send a thank you note
after the dinner party
Josie
talking loudly on the phone on the MRT
is inconsiderate to the other passengers
all right friends
let’s see how our lesson concludes here we read
there’s a basic rule for sidewalks 2
and when we talk about basic rules
it has the same idea as unwritten rules
or the very simplest rules that could be here is an example
the basic rule at that office is that days off
need to be approved by a supervisor
this is a rule that everyone knows
it’s really basic
there generally won’t be many exceptions to that rule and here
these rules about sidewalks
are kind of similar to what we read about yesterday
when it comes to blocking a path for example
or standing at the top of an escalator or blocking a doorway so
don’t hog them
because there’s only so much space on a sidewalk
or in a doorway or on an escalator
don’t hog them
when i saw this word hog
of course i thought of the animal a hog
which is a kind of pig or like a pig right
but i also thought of the verb hog to hog
something that means to keep it to yourself in certain sports
if you just keep the ball to yourself for example
in soccer and you’re not passing it to anybody else
then somebody might call you a ball hog
and
if i were to keep talking for the next three or four minutes
without letting Ann Marie say anything
then i might be a hog in this conversation
a conversation hog yeah
yeah we can call it a conversation hog all right
we don’t have to do that though
but anyway the point of what this is is that
it is a rule on sidewalks that you don’t hog
the whole sidewalk be aware of others around you
that is the basic rule for this whole lesson right
just be aware of what’s going on around you
if your group takes up the entire sidewalk
watch for people approaching now
this phrase takes up
is a useful one
for you to know friends if something takes up room
or takes up space
that’s just how much space
it occupies
the couch in our living room was taking up too much space
so we got rid of it
we could also use this phrase to talk about time as well
those meetings took up
all of my afternoon think of another way to use that phrase
but yeah watch for people approaching does this
mean people coming in the opposite direction
and they want to get by or does it
mean people who are maybe walking faster than your group
and needs to get around you no
those would be people coming from behind
so
we’re talking about the people who are coming towards you okay
so that’s people who are approaching they’re coming towards you
when it comes to driving
we have another word for this
it’s called oncoming traffic
that means it’s coming in the opposite direction
but yes watch for people approaching
some of your groups should then move behind
the rest to make way to make way
that means to give way
or allow there to be a space for people to go by
that’s right this will ensure that pedestrian traffic moves
smoothly basically
all social behavior boils down to being helpful
and considerate of others
that’s right boiled down to is a great phrase for you to know
as well friends
that means there is a main factor
or one main thing that you need to keep in mind
it all boils down to that thing
you can kind of think of
boiling a pot on the stove and a lot of the steam
and everything else kind of goes away
but something is remaining
it all boils down to that important thing that’s right
all right friends we’ll be right back after today’s fun fact
hello fact friends i’m detective
Ernest finder
and i have a fun fact for you today
did you know in some cultures
it is rude to talk about personal appearance haha
it’s true telling a person that they look nice
might be seen as too personal
so be careful but that is today’s fun fact
all right friends it’s the end of our lesson
which means it’s time for a quiz put those magazines down
don’t look at your notes good here
we go social behavior
excuse me
blanks down to being considerate of others does it fries down
cooks down bakes down
or boils down
oh those are all cooking terms they are
which one did we use in this phrase
can you fry something down
well okay
you can cook something
what was the other one
you can cook something down
steamed down
cooks down bakes down
or boils down oh
bakes down mmm
though friends i’m just stalling i know the correct answer
but i’m giving you a little bit of time to come up
with the correct answer
it is boils down to
that’s right i hope you got that correct as well friends
that’s all the time we have for today
we’ll see you next time right here on studio classroom
