Everyone likes having friends, but which is better—real-life friends or online friends?
In real life, you can hang out with friends and experience things together in person. You get to know many things about them. You can share your true feelings and build a deeper friendship with them.
Having online friends is convenient. All you need to do is enter a chatroom, and you can connect with people who share the same interests.
Online friends can be anywhere in the world. You can learn about different countries and cultures from them without traveling.

In person means in real life or where you are.
Yeah, if you see someone through a video chat or a video call, you are not seeing them in person, even though you can see what they look like.
