So many are the leanings and the wants of beings

That even Buddha could not please them all—

Of such a wretch as me no need to speak!

I  give up such concerns with worldly things.

【隆蓮法師譯】有情勝解種種別　如來尚難令歡喜

　　               況復惡人如我者　故於世法勿貪著

    It could perhaps be argued that we ought to try to please everyone and make them happy. As a result, absolutely no one will blame us; everyone will praise us. But beings have accumulated various karmas, and consequently they have various aspirations and interests. Not even the perfect Buddha, free as he was from every defect and endowed with every excellence, was able to please everyone!

(筆記)據說徐霞客每日會完成他當日遊記,現在的"遊記"幾乎都是線上,而週五的這一堂課,真的很精彩,除了翻譯互動以外,每個片段都是內心的遊記;今天這一段特別有感覺,說到眾生的渴望與業緣錯綜複雜,所以我們無法取悅每個人,即使是佛陀也無法令每個人滿意! 

   所以往往不是誰對誰錯的問題,而是每個人業緣與習性所致,還好這些也是無自性,可以隨正知見而轉動.
