Structure:

The chapter return to Henry's world. Novalis keeps using the third opinion to describe the story.

Henry met a lot of people like the knight and his wife. After the poem the knight sung Henry met a female with her daughter. Later this woman talked about how wonderful her native country is.

Then,they talked about the cruelty war let Henry's martial enthusiasm had completely vanished.

Finally,Henry and his mother were left, and they exchanged a pledge with this female.

This chapter was constructed with two poems、dialogues and described.

Symbols:

The knight means Martialism and the upper classes.

The female means Pacificism and underclass.

This female her brother's lute means some kind of romantic.

This female her daughter means innocence and a pure nature life.

Journey:

They have gone to a castle, and talked happily. Then, Henry went to outside and met two people.

Community:

Henry with the knight. (The knight has sung a poem and show the crusade sword to him.)

Henry with the female.(She is a victim under the war.)

Ideas:

Some sentence are beauty like this:

In this chapter we can found something about the disadvantage of war. The upper classes maybe can not understand the suffering of underclass.
