常常思考著這樣一個問題,收藏的最高境界是什麼?
是獲得與日俱增的各式古物藏品,在齋室燈光下獨自把玩,從中領略鑒賞的愉悅?
是坐擁奇珍,秘不示人,享受獨有的自我陶醉?
亦或是期待成為聲名遠播的大鑒賞家,獲取藏家眾星拱月般尊敬的榮耀?
也許是,也許都不是。
但有一點可以肯定,收藏之路其實是充滿苦澀的,只要你一不留神踏上了收藏這條不歸之路,你便註定從此心靈備受歡樂與痛苦,興奮與焦慮,得意與懊惱的無盡煎熬。
收藏具有極大的魅力,這是不言而喻的。
收藏是一座永不枯竭而又充滿誘惑的寶藏,又是一道佈滿棘刺和陷阱的深淵。
身入其中,無論你如何才高八斗、學富五車,也會感受知識的貧乏和淺薄;無論你自信眼力如何過人,在浩如煙海、五花八門的歷史遺存面前,也會感到力不從心的無助;即便你富甲天下,身擁千萬,當你投入收藏時,也常常會感到囊中羞澀,捉襟見肘。
在收藏圈中,你會發現一個非常有趣的現象,在這裡,只有「眼力」是最受尊重的,沒有身份、地位高低貴賤之分。

亦曾應邀去過一位居室不過40平方米的藏友家,他家牆壁用舊報紙糊著,一張破舊的寫字檯上放著全家惟的一件奢侈品,16寸的舊彩電,可當他拉開一排簡陋的木櫃廚門,看到櫃中整齊地擺放著他以20多年省吃儉用之心血收藏的近千面從戰國至清代紋飾精美的銅鏡時,我不由得肅然起敬。
和無數初入藏界的朋友一樣,我開始只是帶著一種對古物朦朧的企盼以及骨子裡對傳統古代文化的追崇開始了收藏之路。
每每在博物館的玻璃櫃前,欣賞商周古銅器的凝重雄渾、漢唐古玉的鬼斧神工、宋明古瓷的拙樸典雅,心中便會由傾情艷羨進而產生一種不安分的躁動;我也要收藏和擁有古物。
最初進入收藏時,總是陷入一種莫名的焦慮、浮躁、「撿漏」「淘寶」的慾望之中。
因一件心儀的古物而牽掛不已,為失去一件寶物的機會懊悔萬分。
我至今仍然記得,一幅黃秋圓的四尺山水圖700元嫌貴放手;一品有一流釉色、器形規整的南宋粉青龍泉爐,要價3000元,卻只留下張照片就放棄;一件28厘米的刻劃「樞府」款的大碗,內有雙鶴纏枝紋飾,釉是一流的鴨蛋青色,只為8000元價偏高,眼睜睜讓別人奪得;一面銘有「東王公」的東漢神人車馬鏡,逕20厘米,紋飾精美,鈕大緣厚,黑漆古包漿,已經拿下卻因賣主要搭賣一個影青碗賭氣放棄,這類當斷不斷而失去機會的例子,在我十幾年的收藏生涯中不勝枚舉。

正是在這種跌跌撞撞、坎坎坷坷的收藏過程中,感受著收藏者的真正樂趣,從而不斷領悟收藏的本質和內在之美。
一位我所敬重的從事文博工作的資深專家,曾多次向我談及對民間收藏的不屑,他直言不諱地表示對民間收藏的蔑視,認為收藏是走私、盜墓、苟利的源頭,收藏圈大都是一些「沽名釣譽、見利忘義」之徒,建議政府取締民間收藏,直到新《文物法》頒布,此君仍然認為「承認民間收藏是一個歷史性的失誤」。
對於這位專家的偏執,我只能感到一種深深的悲哀。
且不說收藏本身就是一種中華民族傳統歷史文化的延續,且不說收藏對於傳播大眾文博知識、藏寶於民的積極因素,就以全國幾千萬收藏隊伍對於社會就業、社會穩定乃至經濟、文化、社會效益的積極貢獻和不可替代的作用,也可以說是功不可沒。
況且,就是在故宮、上博等一些國家級大博物館的許多重量級藏品中,不也有相當部分來自歷代民間藏家的無私捐獻?
我想,當我們這位文博專家,在以張伯駒、徐世璋、孫瀛洲等名垂千古的大藏家所捐獻的國寶古物進行鑒賞研究做學問時,不知內心會作何感想?
的確,民間收藏如同任何社會活動一樣,收藏家並非人人皆是謙謙君子,收藏圈並非至純的淨土,也會泥沙俱下、魚龍混雜,有勢利、詐騙、淺薄、浮躁和貪婪、有以牟利為終極目的的商人。
我曾親眼目睹一位事業有成的朋友,過度地偏執和貪婪,終因愚昧無知,將百萬傢俬打了水漂;我也看過一位古玩鋪店主,以百餘元撿得一件石濤的尺幅,以8000元倒手給了廣東商人,當知道此幅石濤之真跡被轉手賣了30萬時,頓時捶胸頓足嚎啕大哭;我亦見過一位退休老幹部以平生積蓄購得一塊漢玉贗品,從此一病不起;一位老撿漏淘得一部元代版古籍善本顛狂失態乃至當場中風倒地。
我以為,這都是偏離了收藏的本義,而陷入了「物役」「物累」的怪圈。
收藏是一種心靈感受並融入歷史文化和自然的尋根過程。
一件古物,無論其保存完整亦或殘缺破碎,它那深厚的歷史文化積澱、沉穆樸拙的藝術風貌,都會給我們傳遞遠古先人的非凡的創造力和活動軌跡,因而令人心靈怦動。
而古物表現美的特徵,最吸引著我們的往往是那種恬澹、自然、古樸。
一切古物都可以從中泛射出樸拙自然之美,人們在把玩、欣賞和摩挲之中,與遠古先人進行著跨越時光的交流、對話,從而領略一種無盡的遐思和陶醉。
我的案几上擺放著幾片漢代瓦當,普通、灰色、胎質粗松、略有殘缺,但瓦當上的圖案——青龍、白虎、朱雀、玄武,總令我感到驚訝不已。
《三輔黃圖》曰:「青龍、白虎、朱雀、玄武,天之四靈,以正四方」,遠古匠人正是帶著一種宗教般的篤信虔誠,一種與天地神靈所交流而發生的靈性與激情,一種似與神性附體才具有的想像智慧,將深厚廣大的精神力量注入這小小的瓦當圖,留給我們的卻是遠古先人的自然力量體現的直觀。
我始終認為,浮躁是收藏之大忌。
一個真正的收藏鑒賞家,審視古物的眼神是清澈的,心態是極為平和的。
有人曾作過一個統計,大收藏家、文博專家平均壽命要比常人高出10至20歲。
這恐怕是得益於他們與世無爭的超脫心態、甘心恬淡、棲志浮雲的境界,以及接受古物鑒賞中那種常人很難領略的審美情趣,心靈愉悅的原因吧。
收藏,應該是擁有,而不是簡單的佔有;收藏是對美的發掘,而不是對物的擄掠;能夠感受和體味古物深厚歷史文化內在美的本質,才是真正意義上的收藏。
一位腰纏萬貫的大款,他可能憑借財力短時間獲得別人要許多年才得到的一大堆藏品,也可能借行家之眼一夜之間拍得幾件罕世珍寶。
這當然是日益現代化的中國必然出現也無可厚非的一種收藏形式,收藏者也能從中獲得某種樂趣。
但這種收藏,卻難以獲得真正意義上的收藏之愉悅和美感。只有結果,沒有過程的收藏,與既有過程又有結果的收藏,其對收藏的感受是有程度差別的。
任何一件古物,都是具有靈性的。
鑒賞古物的最高境界,是人與之進行超越時間的情感交流和對話。
我常常在夜深人靜之時,以極其虔誠的心態,觀賞一尊我非常喜愛的北魏佛像。
