Do you want to be the scum of the society or

a benevolent extolled by the whole world?

要為非作歹，讓全世界的人唾棄你，還是要讓全世界的人讚頌你？

The former does wrongful acts repelled by the whole world

whereas the latter praised and extolled.

你就算不能夠做到最好，但是也不要讓自己淪落到最差的！

While you may not be able to reach the highest level,

never ever let yourself fall down to the worst!

做什麼事情都會有考驗，都會有不順利的時候。

Whatever we do, we encounter tests and tribulations.

面臨考驗還有不順利的時候，我們要用什麼心態去扭轉這個局勢？

要去轉念！轉我們的心念！

When things go against our will, what can we do?

Change our attitude and make it positive.

所以好好地下功夫，好好地修，修這顆心；

This is a mindset we need to cultivate, which is our “heart lotus”.

怎麼樣能夠讓它更好，而不是讓它更壞！

每一個人都有一顆蓮花那樣的心，要看你怎麼去養它，

養你心中的那一朵「心蓮」，你養得愈大，以後你的功果就愈大；

你放任不管它，它就會慢慢地壞掉了。

In nurturing this heart lotus, the more you do, the more you will get.

But left alone it will wither.

仙佛座下的蓮花大不大？那要受到多少的苦，行了多少的功才有，

All the saints and sages have gone through lots of tests and tribulations before they get their lotus thrones.

我們是不是要日日努力？

Should we not follow likewise?
