我（仲由夫子）在世的時候，從很遠的地方背著米回來，跟我的父母親一起吃飯，高不高興？

When I was alive, I had to carry the rice from afar, and then I took every

meal with my parents, was I happy?

雖然那個時候，我很窮，沒有什麼錢買好吃的給父母吃，

At that time I was very poor. I did not have much money to buy

delicious food for my parents.

吃的那菜就是野菜不太好，但是我有爸爸，又有媽媽，我覺得我好高興，我覺得我很滿足，

Even though the meals were nothing but plain vegetables, yet I have

my parents with me, so I felt very happy and satisfied.

不用很多錢，只要能夠讓父母高興、快樂，這就很好了。

Indeed, just with a little money, as long as you can make your parents

happy, that is enough.
