阿頓河 (Afton Water) 是蘇格蘭的一條小河
十八世紀的詩人羅伯‧邦斯(Robert, Burns)
作了一首Sweet Afton 的詩，
到了十九世紀，美國肯塔基州的
一位律師、牧師兼作曲家
史匹漫（Jonathan Spilman）把詩譜成歌曲，
叫做“Flow gently, sweet Afton”
開始傳唱於世。

這首歌的中文譯曲有許多種，
一首就叫做《阿頓河》，
其歌詞如下：

阿頓河, 慢慢流, 兩岸緣油油
山蒼蒼, 風景好, 好像催眠曲
我瑪麗, 小姑娘, 窈窕夢裡遊
烏雲髮, 芙蓉臉, 時有笑容浮

在山上有石屋,石壁, 石廳堂
這是我和瑪麗, 最愛玩的地方
在這裡可避寒風, 亦可避驕陽
更欣賞紅晚霞, 相看牧羔羊

另外有《清溪水慢慢流》的版本
