上個月我們聽過美國歌手兼寫歌者Kristoffer Kristofferson
所寫的“Help Me Make It Through the Night“
這個月我們再聽一首他在1968年的作品
“For the Good Times”。
據他自己說，這首歌是他在旅途上
回憶起一段沒有成功的情緣，
有感而發而寫的。 歌詞裡帶著幾分悲傷、接受、與期盼。

這首歌寫成之後，即由Bill Nash 灌成唱片，
1970年又由Kristoffer Kristofferson 自己灌唱，
但是要等到同年6月，Ray Price 唱的版本上市以後，
才得到聽眾的讚賞，在鄉村音樂排行榜登上王座。
之後受到許多歌星的青睞，
其中最成功的是 Perry Como 的版本，
在英國的熱門音樂排行榜上27周之久，
最高排行達到第七名。
Perry Como 的音色接近 Andy Williams,
也是我喜愛的版本。
