| 我昨天請教網友金刀一個問題“台灣到底在學美國什麼“。其實我自己也沒有答案，我也不太知道怎麼才能好好描述美國。這幾年，我看到許多在各個角落辛勤工作的人民，他們樂天知命，實事求是，有時候大剌剌的，有點白目，純真，但有時候又非常細心，複雜。美國，一言難盡。 我常在收音機聽到的這首歌曲“Lucky Man“，在這邊給大家介紹一下，或許各位可以在裡面多少體會到一些美國人的價值觀，不然起碼你可以當KTV唱一唱。你或許會發現，其實美國人，台灣人，ＯＯＸＸ人，大家都差不多，都是在過日子，想擁有一個自己的家庭，有幾個好朋友和家人在身邊，週末出去釣魚，一年有幾天休假，對自己的生活感到自豪。雖然我不敢說所有人都是這樣，但起碼我可以向各位報告的是，我身邊有非常多這樣的例子。 每次聽到這樣的好歌，我就會很想找老朋友唱ＫＴＶ，然後會忽然覺得，不知道這世界的人到底在吵什麼。 Lucky Man (Montgomery Gentry) I have days when I hate my job 我有的時候討厭我的工作 This little town and the whole world too 也討厭這個小鎮和整個世界 Last Sunday when my Bangals lost 上禮拜天喜歡的球隊輸了 Lord it put me in a bad mood 害我心情很不好 I have moments when I curse the rain 有時候我會詛咒雨 Then complain when the sun's too hot 然後抱怨太陽太熱 I look around at what everyone has 我看看周圍其他人有的好東西 And I forget about all I've got 然後忘記我自己已經擁有什麼 (chorus) But I know I'm a lucky man 但我知道我是個幸運的人 God's given me a pretty fair hand 上帝給我一手還不錯的牌 Got a house and a piece of land 有一棟房子和一塊土地 A few dollars in a coffee can 咖啡罐裡有幾塊錢 My old truck's still running good 我的舊卡車還很能跑 My ticker's tickin' like they say it should 幾張股票還算可以（？） I got supper in the oven, a good woman's loving 大烤箱裡有我的晚餐，一個好女人的愛 And one more day to be my little kid's dad 而且再一天，當我小小孩的爸 Lord, knows I'm a lucky man 主，知道我是個幸運的人 Got some friends who would be here fast 有些朋友快來了 I could call em any time of day 我什麼時候打電話給他們都可以 Got a brother who's got my back 有個罩我的老哥 Got a mama who I swear's a saint 有個像聖人一樣的老媽 Got a brand new rod and reel 有組新的釣具 Got a a full week off this year 今年有一整個禮拜休假 Dad had a close call last spring 去年春天我爸差點過世 It's a miracle he's still here 現在他還在這裡，真是奇蹟 And even my bad days ain't that bad 甚至壞日子也沒那麼壞 Yeah, I'm a lucky man 是的，我是個幸運的人 I'm a lucky lucky man 我是個幸運的人 歌手的話： David Cory Lee, Dave Turnbull "This is probably my favorite song on the whole album.
