. 轉載一則, 同事好友的搞笑電郵. 有關狗這個英文字Dog的來由. 翻譯如下: (好友的電郵裡的動畫, 無法轉載於UDN, 就省略了. 反正這些照片裡的貓呀狗的, 都沒有狗寳漂亮. 天底下哪裡有狗, 比狗寶更可愛的呢?!! 各位就以狗寶, 來想像就好吧!! 哈哈哈...)  . 寵物是哪裡來的呢? .
創世紀一書中, 最新發現的一章, 為" 寵物是哪裡來的呢? " 提供了最新的解答. . 亞當與夏娃問 "主阿, 當我們在伊甸園時, 您每天與我們走在一起. 現在我們看不見您, 我們在地球上, 很是寂寞. 並且, 我們很難回憶起您對我們的愛了." . 上帝說話了: 我會創造一個我對你們的愛的形象反射. 如此, 即使沒有看到我, 你們仍然可以維持對我的愛. 不管你們是多麼的自私幼稚, 和多麼的不可愛. 這個新伴侶會如我愛你們一般的愛你們, 不論你們是如何的不堪. . 所以, 上帝為亞當與夏娃創造出了一個連上帝都很滿意的可愛新動物. 這個動物, 也很滿意有亞當與夏娃作伴. . 有一天, 亞當又問 "主呀, 這地球上的所有動物, 我都給它們取了個名字. 可是我不知道該叫我的新寶貝甚麼呀?" . 上帝就說啦: 我創造了這個動物, 是要反映出我對你的愛. 它的名字應該反映出我的名(God)阿. 你就應當稱它Dog呀! . 所以Dog 從此與亞當與夏娃快樂的一起生活. . Where do pets come from? . A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?" Adam and Eve said, "Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us." And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves." And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail. And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal." And God said, " I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG"  And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them adored and loved them. And they were comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.  After a while, it came to pass that an angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam and Eve have become filled with pride. They strut and preen like peacocks and they believe they are worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught them that they are loved, but perhaps too well." And God said, I will create for them a companion who will be with them and who will see them as they are. The companion will remind them of their limitations, so they will know that they are not always worthy of adoration." And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam and Eve. <  And Cat would not obey them. And when Adam and Eve gazed into Cat's eyes, they were reminded that they were not the supreme beings.  And Adam and Eve learned humility. And they were greatly improved.  And God was pleased. And Dog was happy. And Cat didn't give a shit one way or the orther.  . 過了一陣子之後, 有位天使面見上帝談起地球上的人類說: 主阿~ 亞當與夏娃似乎是日子過得越來越驕傲起來了. 這兩人變得有如孔雀般的自滿自傲. 可能是這 dog 愛人類的天性表現得太好了. 讓這兩人, 自以為他們真得有那麼值得愛哪!! . 上帝就說: 我會再為他倆創造一個伴. 透過這個新夥伴, 人類可以看到他們自己的真面目. 這個新夥伴, 會提醒他們人類的不足與不能, 也能因此讓他們了解, 他們並不是那麼值得去愛的. . 所以上帝又創造出了叫 CAT 的動物來和亞當與夏娃作伴. . 而且, 這個 Cat 不服從亞當與夏娃. 每次, 亞當與夏娃凝視 cat 的眼睛時, 都被提醒人類並不是超諸所有動物之上的. . 由此, 亞當與夏娃學得了謙虛. . 人類的品格就此高尚進化了. . 上帝很是高興. . Dog 也很開心. . 至於 Cat, 它才不在乎個屁咧! . |
