In search of my Rock Time 3 -- Metallica
從 Iron Maiden 開始，再經過一連串各流派搖滾樂團的洗禮，包含：Van Halen、Judas Priest、Megadeth、Slayer、Slaughter、Queensryche、Kiss、AC/ DC、Helloween、Deep Purple、Aerosmith、Led Zeppelin..，至此，我已經走在 Heavy Metal 與 Hard Rock 相互交錯的路上，時而前進、時而駐足、時而回首：就像初遇 Metallica 的〈Master of Puppets〉及〈...And Justice for All〉，並沒有讓我印象深刻，一直到 1991年讓人驚豔的 The Black Album 才重新提醒我似乎遺漏了這個 Speed (Thrash) Metal 樂團的才華表現。 官方網站 http://www.metallica.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metallica_(album) Metallica, informally known as The Black Album, is the fifth album by the American heavy metal band Metallica, released August 13, 1991 through Elektra Records. Metallica is the band's best-selling album to date, with over 15 million copies sold in the 這張專輯封面很經典，右下角出現一條蛇的圖騰，其實是源自於 ”Gadsden flag” 的圖案設計，其含意就是 "Don't Tread on Me" ，同樣地也是這張專輯中的一首歌名。 這張專輯有很多首暢銷單曲，我想 “Nothing Else Matters” 及 ”The Unforgiven” 是大家較耳熟能詳，但我選播了一首〈...And Justice for All〉專輯中的 ”To Live Is To Die”，一種重金屬喧嘩中的憂傷，A tribute to former bassist, Cliff Burton. |
