When I first saw that term “踹共” I thought it means “to kick commies”, which represents Taiwan’s populist sentiments nowadays towards Mainland China. I was wrong.
The metamorphosis of a language, especially for the character words of Chinese should experience a lenghty ordeal to prove its enduring existence. So I think that term, pronounciated in vernacular Fujianese, would not stand a chance of becoming a formal usage someday; unless being boosted by the degenerate media and the de-China bureaucracy in Taiwan. See, they almost succeeded in coining 達人, 運將, 卡哇伊 etc. as daily-used words. What an insult to our beautiful language!
