P.S. Now you've understood what the term "公知" is. Looks familiar? You bet! You can easily find a lot of Taidu/Dutai "pundits" on TV here in Taiwan. I believe those "pundits" are of even lower class in knowledge than their counterparts in Mainland, though the peril they've brought to the societies might be the same.
